
Wholesome Oat Groats
Oat groats are the most "whole grain" form of oats. Because of this, they take a substantially longer amount of time to make on the stove...2 hours! However, you can soak the groats the night before to reduce cooking time to 45-60 minutes. Of course you can also make them in an instant pot/pressure cooker, which cuts the time down to about 40 minutes.
We love this recipe because it's just so dan satiating! All of the intact fiber and nutrients really seems to hit the spot.
Also, whole oat groats have a super thick and unique consistency - almost chewy.
