Susanna and I met Rita the week we moved to Carbondale. It's a small town, and was only a matter of time before our paths crossed, but I believe fate expedited the process!

Rita is the founder of Davi Nikent Center for Human Flourishing, a non-profit dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing for individuals, families, and the community.

Rita is like the "quarter back" of all the happenings in the realm of holistic health here in the valley, connecting individuals and organizing expeiential events nonstop!

In this conversation, I finally got to know Rita a little bit more deeply, learning about her passion that has guided her journey.

About Rita

Rita E. Marsh was a practicing nurse and former Family Nurse Practitioner for over 40 years. Since 2000 she specialized in the co-authoring and delivery of educational programs that enhance health and well-being, decrease the effects of stress, support healthful aging and ultimately prepare people for life’s final transition.

Rita is Board Co-Chair of Davi Nikent, Center for Human Flourishing in Carbondale, Colorado. The vision of Davi Nikent is to establish a demonstration project in integral health, where the healing of self, family, community, and the environment occurs through education, the arts, self-empowerment and the transformation of consciousness.

Rita and her husband Richard live in the Roaring Fork Valley of Western Colorado with their dog, Sophia.Their daughters, Andrea and Erin (husband Matt and 9-year-old son, Sid) are close by,
